05th July 2025, CHANDIGARH( SPOT LIGHT 24) a grand event was organized to celebrate “Van Mahotsav” at 13th Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force Chandigarh Campus. On this occasion, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Chandigarh Administrator Shri Gulab Chand Kataria Ji attended as the chief guest.The Honorable Governor arrived with national honor. The battalion’s commandant Mrs. Kamal Sisodia welcomed him heartily by presenting him a flower bouquet. Thereafter, the Governor inaugurated the “Van Mahotsav” by planting a tree in the campus and gave the message of environmental protection.Hon’ble Governor inaugurated the Wellness Park and Medicinal Garden in the premises of 13 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force. He praised the Commandant and all the soldiers of 13 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force for transforming the uneven land in the camp premises into a green and attractive garden and planting fruit, shade and medicinal plants in the premises and for their contribution towards this successful event and greenery. Hon’ble Governor emphasized the need for natural conservation, tree plantation and environmental balance. He praised the discipline, service and dedication of CRPF towards the nation and motivated all the personnel of the force to always maintain excellence in their work.Home Secretary Mr. Mandeep Singh Barar, Chief Forest Conservation Officer Mr. Saurabh Kumar and officers and Jawans of 13 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force participated in this program.T he aim of the program was not just to organize an event but to spread awareness about the environment and leave a green legacy for future generations.
